Brent Baker, Chief Executive Officer — Brent Baker is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Sustainable Biodiesel Company (TSBC) and its subsidiaries including Tri-State Biodiesel and Bridgeport Biodiesel. Under Baker’s leadership, TSBC is the largest vertically integrated cooking oil-to-biodiesel company on the east coast, recycling millions of gallons of cooking oil throughout the Northeastern US and processing it into clean burning biodiesel fuel. Tri-State Biodiesel is the first, most well-known and biggest biodiesel brand in New York City, and was the first company to sell biodiesel fuel to private fleets in NYC and to provide biodiesel fuel at a gas station pump in the city.
Baker is a pioneer of the biodiesel movement and has been a biodiesel educator and producer of biodiesel fuel since the fuel emerged in the United States about 20 years ago. He is now a nationally known spokesman on biodiesel and was instrumental in helping to pass New York City’s first ever bill requiring the use of biodiesel in all heating oil sold in the city. More recently, Baker has completed the construction of New England’s largest biodiesel production facility, located in Bridgeport Connecticut.
Baker has been featured on many media platforms including The New York Times, National Public Radio, ABCs Business Week Weekend and the PBS News Hour, which called him a “Johnny Appleseed of biodiesel” in 2004. Baker serves as a biodiesel industry consultant to both the public and private sector and was featured in the award-winning documentary “Fuel”. Kavir Singh, Accounting Manager — Kavir Singh manages all the accounting needs of The Sustainable Biodiesel. He is mainly responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management. His previous management accounting experience includes many years working in the Construction and Fashion/Textile industries. He has also acquired a wealth of knowledge in international business trade during his years in the Fashion/Textile industry.
Jeff Wiseman, General Manager — Jeff is a staunch environmental, social justice and arts advocate. At Tri-State Biodiesel, Jeff has also worked as
Procurement Manager and Customer Relations Manager. Jeff came to TSB directly from Carnegie Hall, where he was a manager in their office of Strategic Development and Analysis, which works to enhance funding for all education and community outreach programs nationally and internationally. William Fairley, Facility Manager — Mr. Fairly manages the personnel and operations of TSB’s, Bronx based, cooking oil rendering facility. He is in charge of maintenance and operation of the facility including all technology and quality control. Formerly a jet engine mechanic for the US military, Mr. Fairly brings hard work, dedication, discipline and problem solving skills to the TSB team. Mr. Fairly is always ready for the next challenge, and has been the leader on many improvements in the facility including installation of an industrial heat ex-changer, steam boiler, and new storage tank as well as multiple pump installations. Each of these improvements has lead to increased capacity and faster processing time at the TSB facility.
Dehran Duckworth, Board Member and Fuel Sales — Dehran has been with Tri-State Biodiesel as a partner/member since 2006, on the board of directors since 2008, and is currently head of the fuel sales division. Dehran brings a forward-thinking and innovative approach to the marketing of biodiesel and the public education of its benefits and easy implementation. He is responsible for acquiring and maintaining biodiesel accounts in all applicable sectors including truck fleet sales, Bioheat(r) Heating Oil sales, and marketing through filling stations, as well as administering company public outreach efforts around the tri-state area. Joshua Sabo, Chief Counsel — With his professional legal experience in energy and technology projects, Joshua brings a high level of legal expertise to the Tri-State Biodiesel team. As Tri-State’s legal counsel, he writes business contracts and other documents, advises on strategy, and oversees our general activities to insure against for future litigation. Joshua’s experience in Albany and Washington , D.C., leaves him well-suited to advise Tri-State on lobbying and public partnership issues. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. Ethan Garber, Board Member — Garber has more than 20 years experience analyzing, advising, and financing businesses in a wide range of industries. As a restructuring specialist, Garber frequently serves on creditor committees of major national and international companies and is currently consulting as a distressed debt and derivatives trader for the post-bankruptcy liquidation of the Lehman Brothers estate. Prior to joining Lehman, Garber was a proprietary trader for both Bear Stearns and Credit Suisse First Boston and was also a well-regarded distressed debt and restructuring expert at a number of firms including Lehman Brothers, where he was ranked by Institutional Investor magazine as an “All-Star” analyst. Garber has also been a senior debt analyst at Jefferies & Co. and Chase Manhattan and was a founding investor in several successful green-tech ventures including ThermalHouse. Garber graduated from Wesleyan University in 1990 with a B.A in religious studies.
Bruce Fredrickson, Regional Fuel Sales Representative – Bruce is a strong advocate for creating a
sustainable energy future. He brings over 35 years of sales/ marketing experience in the solid chemical and fuel industry. He is responsible for acquiring and maintaining biodiesel accounts in all applicable sectors including Bioheat(r) Heating Oil sales and biodiesel sales in the truck fleet market.

Boiler Technician

Chinese Sales Specialist/Driver

We are looking for hard-working, professional salesperson/driver to help expand our Chinese language speaking customer base and perform collections of cooking oil from existing customers in New York City. The position includes Chinese language customer service, sales and route driving for the city’s leading waste oil disposal service. Applicants must be fluent in English and Mandarin and be willing to work in all NYC boroughs. Applicants must have professional appearance and attitude, be self-motivated, and have excellent communication skills. Training and promotional materials will be provided along with in-depth support from TSB staff. Responsibilities also include generating new restaurant clients, driving collection truck, supervision of shift partner, pump operation for collections, customer relations, and administration of necessary paperwork. Responsibilities include safety inspections of vehicles, supervision of shift partner, pump operation for deliveries/collections, customer relations, and administration of necessary paperwork. Applicants must have a solid understanding of NYC streets and prior driving experience is required. Applicants must have professional apperance and attitude, be extremely reliable, and must have a Class A commercial license with Tank, Airbrake and Hazmat endorsements in good standing. Hose Operator
